EMail SSL Certificates

FYI for those of you using the POP3S mail system. The certificates for Sendmail and Dovecot expired and have been renewed. If your email application complains about the information, that's normal. If you're unsure if you should accept the new certificates, feel free to PM me and ask about it.

PHP Update

A recent PHP update made some changes to zlib compression. As a result, I had to turn off the zlib compression feature in the PHP.ini file to restore functionality to at least one application. This should not have any further impact on other PHP based applications, but if you are running something that has an option to toggle gzip compression, you may need to make sure it's enabled now since the site will no longer perform this compression automatically.

Scheduled Network Maintenance

My ISP informed me tonight that there is scheduled maintenance being done on the upstream connection. This notice was not delivered until a couple of hours before the event and appears to have disrupted service for the time being. According to the notice, the maintenance should be over with by 3am PST. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Not sure, I have a ticket in with the ISP to find out though since it got pretty bad a couple of hours ago. Things seem to have straightened out for the moment.

Lag lag lag lag lag

Hey there! Darkforces over on Boralis has been having a ton of lag issues during the day recently. A lot of people get disconnected from the MUSH, and it takes a few minutes before it'll log them back on again. (I get an Unable to reach host message.) Any idea what's going on?
